Custom Painting a Dell Inspiron 3847 Gaming Desktop

Doing a custom paint on my old dell inspiron 3847 was inspired when I purchased the dell inspiron 15 7567 gaming laptop, I really liked the color combination it came with; the dark vintage gray and the bright red along with the overall black made the design ideal for gaming.

The dell 3847 desktop came in a standard color, more suitable for office use; considering that I used it for gaming too I wanted to incorporate some custom colors to it to help match the gaming laptop.

One of the major changes I wanted to make to the color design was the front facing cover, adding the bright red as the trim and then the dark gray as the frame; it already had the original black so adding these two would be the beginning of the 3 color combination idea I had.

I continued the idea with the red by custom painting the inspiron wording on the side panel and also the red logo on the front; that was the red options on the outside.

I wanted to bring the red inside the case as well and I did so by custom painting all cooling fans with the bright red, and also I wanted to incorporate the dark throughout the inside of the case too so I thought that adding that color to the body of the power supply was ideal; and I used the same gray option for the back plate of the graphics card.

There were other minor areas i thought adding the black was a plus, for example I custom painted the ssd bracket and the pci vents and even the optical drives; I also thought that adding a red led strip light in the inside was a good option to brighten the inside more when the computer is turned on.
